There was a reason I wanted to take stock this month. Minimising week 3 has definitely been tougher but what I don’t want is to just throw things away willy-billy. (That being said I discovered we have 6 international charging points this morning 🤦🏼‍♀️ ). Repurposing to minimise overbuying has been an unexpected part of the process. This unit was originally a set of fabric drawer I bought when I had v little money. It’s been used for clothes, shoes, electrical devices and toys. They’ve lived in pretty much every room in the house. The fabric drawers had to be binned after my children ‘over loved’ them. They were tipped on their sides for a while but most recently they’re in my 3yo’s for her books. She quite rightly wasn’t happy that her sister had book shelves but she didn’t. They’re scuffed and scratched but my daughter doesn’t care. I’ve got a quandary involving garden cushions (I know 🙄 ). When they come down from the loft they fill a room but I’m now wondering what I might have knocking about the place to store them. I certainly don’t want to buy an unnecessary cabinet to put them in. Living a healthy lifestyle can definitely have it's challenges with our busy lives, hectic schedules and an enemy trying to pull us down to keep us defeated. I've noticed as social media has gained popularity, we have become a society that is all about "instant gratification" but when it comes to our health goals, there is no quick easy fix. So many of us feel defeated because we look no different day after a day of exercising and eating well. Then we scroll Instagram and find ourselves comparing our progress with fitness models. Definitely not a good place to nurture self-love. If there's one thing I've learned about being and staying healthy, it's embracing that it takes patience, hard work and consistency. We need to be patient with ourselves along our journey, keeping in mind that results won't become obvious over night. Everything about our culture screams "lose 10 pounds in 10 days!" and "get your dream body in a month". Well, my friends, not only is it not healthy, it is also impossible for most of us to achieve and maintain those kinds of results so don't get sucked into misleading sales tactics that will only lead you down a path of shame and guilt. One of the best things we can do to nurture more self-love is spending time in self reflection. I want to challenge you today to ask yourself the following question: "If I love myself, why would I...?" ... Insert whatever activity, habit, or pattern you can think of and if they are beneficial in your health and faith journey. Some examples: ... "If I love myself, why would I eat junk food?" "If I love myself, why would I say bad things about myself?" "If I love myself, why would I keep myself from spending time with God?" ... Write down three of your own. Think about them throughout your day and go to God in prayer about them so He can help you as you work to gain clarity and grow to loving yourself more 💚

Book 10 - A. Rodin 🙂⁣ ⁣ Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book .⁣ ⁣ I saw a few people who reviewed this in Instagram and was quite excited to receive a copy. However, this book never really came to life for me. . Although it recounted Rodin’s life from the perceptive of the women in his life, the story never elicited any emotion from me. ⁣ ⁣ My goodreads rating for this one was 3 ⭐️ ⁣ ⁣ 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔⁣ ⁣ I have actually been to Rodin’s museum in Paris.
