God loves you enough to caution you and pull you back. Proverbs 12:1 says... To learn, you must love discipline; it is stupid to hate correction.
O Lord my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me. O Lord, You have brought up my soul from Sheol; You have kept me alive, that I would not go down to the pit (Psalm 30:2-3 ). In modern-day language, David would essentially be saying that God healed him and saved his soul from death or the pit of hell. God saved him from the enemy and eternal condemnation. God offers this help to us, too! Whenever you're feeling attacked by the enemy or persecuted by others, cry out to the Lord for help because He heals, protects, and saves!
God is all powerful; people are not. We never have to fear because our all-powerful God is for us as His people. He protects us! That doesn't mean we won't face any fears and that no one will ever harm us on this earth; but, God promises that no man can take us away from Him. Regardless of what we experience on earth, His protection is supernatural, permanent, and eternal.
Forgiveness and letting go are so powerful! The power comes not in forgetting what another has done to you - as you may never forget - but in forgiving them as Christ forgives us and letting go of your resentment and other negative thoughts/feelings toward them.
OUR TOP 4 RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SUMMER READING! Experience a deeper relationship with Jesus by soaking in the summer sun and reading a new book. You will love them all!
What a risky prayer to pray! In our human nature, we tend to want what we want when we want it. Praying this is risky; we risk giving up things we want in order to submit to Him and what He wants. It's a prayer of surrender and a conscious decision to seek God's will first, even in the midst of suffering or uncertainty. Before His death on the cross, Jesus knelt and prayed this scandalous prayer: "Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done" (Luke 22:42 ). He was about to face unimaginable physical, emotional, and spiritual anguish. He could have sought His own desire, to avoid the suffering, instead surrendered to the Father. We are called to do the same because the Lord is worthy and knows best.
Friends, it is a wonderful gift to receive God's comfort in the midst of our struggles. Don't let His comfort stop there! Share His comfort with others in need, just as He did for you.
Who are you praying for and thanking God for today? The book of Philemon is all about unity as Christians. It is a great thing to pray for fellow Christians and to thank God for them! We are all in this together, regardless of our differences.

When you become a believer, God's Holy Spirit lives within your heart and fills the emptiness you once had. He fills that void and makes you whole!
It doesn't always feel good, it is a good thing when another person sharpens us in Godly ways! When sharpening another, do make sure your motive is pure and that you have some type of relationship with the person first, as constructive criticism is better received when the other person knows you care about them and have their best interest at heart.

"The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him" Lamentations 3:25-26. So, "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord" (Psalm 27:14 ). He is always on time according to His perfect timing, so wait because He's never late!
A bit convicting, right?! How often do we vent to our friends or family about our troubles before, or instead of, going to God in prayer? He longs to be our first lifeline! And, He is the one with the power to grant our requests according to His Will. Don't underestimate the power of prayer as though it is an afterthought!
Even in the midst of fear or uncertainty, you can boldly run with endurance the race that is set before you (Hebrews 12:1 ), as God is always with you, He is also at the finish line cheering you on with each stride you make!

God's timing ALWAYS wins, and it is ALWAYS perfect. There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens (Ecclesiastes 3:1 ).
At times, our agenda is out of line with God's. Other times, it is a Godly agenda but differs from God's agenda, and His is always best and perfect. He will delay our own plans or shut doors to protect us physically, emotionally, mentally, and/or spiritually. It is good for us to realize that perceived delays are not always bad and may serve to protect us and guide us forward in His perfect plan.
As Matthew 6 says, when we seek God first, we will receive everything that we need in His perfect timing. With Him first, we always win; we are never last or left emptyhanded!

David cries out to God in distress in this psalm. However, in the midst of his distress, he declares his trust in God. Let's rest in His love and promises, entrusting our lives to Him in the good times and the bad.
His power is perfected through our weaknesses (2 Corinthians 12:9 ). So, it is important to not only avoid hiding our weaknesses or hyper-focusing on them in a negative way, but to surrender our weaknesses to God and let Him work.
